To mark International Women’s Day 2019, the Parliament is turning its focus to women in politics. The Parliament wants to highlight the huge contribution that women make to politics at a European and national level and boost women’s presence in top management positions. It particularly urges women to vote and stand as candidates in the next European elections.
The European Parliament focuses on Women’s Power in Politics for this year’s International Women’s Day! The topic chosen this year is at the heart of women’s rights because it defines women’s capacity to participate and decide on the collective governing of our societies.
