The von der Leyen Commission started its five-year term of office on 1 December 2019 with the online hashtag #vdLcommission. The European Parliament gave its strong support and Ursula von der Leyen declares ready for work. The von der Leyen Commission was confirmed by the European Parliament with 461 votes in favour, 157 against and 89 abstentions.
