LIVE Berlin: Protests against Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel for Migration Policy

Ruptly LIVE from Berlin’s Zoologischer Garten train station on Wednesday, December 21. Right-wing group Wach auf Deutschland (Wake up Germany) announced that they will protest against Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel and her policies on immigration.

The protest came in response to the deadly attack on a Christmas market near Berlin’s Kurfuerstendamm Boulevard. A truck ploughed through the crowd killing 12 people and injuring 48.

Investigators seek a Tunisian in Germany. Police are searching this suspect after finding ID papers in truck. The man named Anis was born in 1992.

– German police is looking for suspect in asylum center close to Emmerich, 10 minutes from border with Holland. Dutch police is also informed.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said she was “horrified and deeply sad about what happened” and called for UNITY. She said it would be “especially disgusting” if the perpetrator of the attack turned out to be an asylum-seeker, as police originally suggested.
