The new EU Commissioners list is ready for the Voting list of the European Parliament. The new members of the European Commission will take up duties from 27 November 2019, until 31 October 2024.
Under Article 17(7) of the Treaty on European Union, the list of Commissioners-designate is adopted by the Council by common accord with the President‑elect of the Commission. President-elect Ursula von der Leyen gave her agreement to the draft list on 21 November. This paves the way for the vote of consent in the European Parliament on the entire Commission as a body.
The Council adopted the new list of persons whom it proposes for appointment as members of the new EUCO of Ursula von der Leyen after EP HEARINGS.

Following the European Parliament’s consent, the Commission is appointed by the European Council, acting by a qualified majority. MEPs will vote on the full College of Commissioners on 27th November. The legitimacy of the Commission and of its President therefore rests on the legitimacy of Parliament and the democratic election of its members.
